went to see First Aid Kit at the usher hall tonight.
Very good performance and very easy on the eye!
As well as there own material they done an impressive cover of Simon & Garfunkels 'America' and a Jack White cover with a snippet of Seven Nation Army, only gripe was paying £4 for a can of becks vier Wiggo

Quite fancied that gig. Oh well. Overpriced drink at gigs is a nightmare. Was the 02 Academy last week. £18 for 3 Tuborgs and a Cider. All flat and in plastic pint glasses. I bought the second round as well, £36 and I had 2 pints of flat piss. Rofl

Been listening to Le Thug a lot. Scottish band, think they're from Edinburgh.

it grinds my gears that it's rare to get a decent pint at most music venues, the usher hall had the aforementioned becks or bottles of bud!
if you get the chance to catch first aid kit in the future i'd highly reccomend it, there stage banter was witty and my personal highlight was when they done a song without mics just an acoustic guitar and them singing, with the risk of soundy wanky the venues acoustics were perfect for this!

back to the topic i picked up Baxter Dury's new album 'its a pleasure' and Smooth & Turrells 'broken toys' earlier in the week

Been into a bit of these lads lately. Young Aussie band. Very psychedelic.

Hopkins has his finger in many pies and seldom gets his pie choices wrong tbf. Stuff he did with King Creosote was fucking superb.

You'll probably have heard of them (or her? think it's just one lassie) but give Grimes a listen as well. If you like Purity Ring should be right up your street.

Off the top of my head check out Clam's Casino, Moderat, Broods and Phantogram. Seems like they'd all be your cup of tea

Also, the lassie in Phantogram.

Salad Days by Mac is one of my favourite albums to date, adore it.
