Front wing off before the first corner and then couldn't control it coming out the pits
Getting the hang of the no traction control I think but then throw the gears into the mix and I can't. Every time I shift down I seem to just spin out
Brake in a straight line and then change to the desired gear on approach to the corner. (Usually 3 or 2). Then to begin with try turning the corner not using any acceleration or brake until your car lines up on the exit, progressively increase the throttle and change up gear quickly every time the engine revs to its max for that gear.
Keep flashbacking until you get the corner down and then you can try and hone it by hitting the apex sweeter and getting into the throttle quicker without being thrown into the barrier. Over time you'll learn the limits.
I remember a couple of years ago practicing that first corner of melbourne 100 times until I got it down and the other corners became easier.
If I had a brain I would've practiced on Paul Ricard of Abu Dhabi as there are run off areas so you don't need to restart all the time you can just try the next corner.
I would say that the first corner of Melbourne is a perfect 90 degree turn with a tough exit so it is a good one to try it out on. Just annoying that there is gravel.
