Went to Hamburg for my birthday about 5 years ago it was a really good trip although the crowd I was with certainly helped, didn't manage any of the Beatles stuff but the bars are pretty good in general, there was a rowdy solidarity march in support of refugees in germany, tanks on the street the lot!
