Not sure it will. He’s clever enough to take it to the line without explicitly calling for violence, he can get out of it all by saying “I just said people should be angry”.

It’s where guys like Robinson step in and ramp it right up but they can just be called fringe extremists when it suits to distance the actual political side from the violence. Exactly how it played out with Jan 6, Trump got everyone riled up enough to let other folk really let it kick off but not enough he can be outright accused of doing it.

It’s been like this for years. Stoke division by saying you love Sikhs, they integrate so well, part of British fabric etc.

None of it was actually about loving Sikhs it was all about isolating Muslims even more. A lot of Sikhs bought into it as well and thought these types actually had their interests in mind. There was actually a very weird clip of a Sikh guy addressing a crowd saying “British people would jump on a boat and leave Britain before they’d expect Sikhs to leave”, funnily the crowd were too thick/confused to actually get what he was saying so he was getting some applause

That’s what it’s all about thought isn’t it? Farage and Robinson have this comfortable little symbiotic relationship in which Farage calls for everything up to but not including violence, and then Robinson goes in, creates chaos and Farage can’t step back and say ‘look, I don’t agree with what they are doing, but this is the consequence of your (lack of) actions’.

Farage puts a veneer of ‘respectability’ onto Robinson’s view, Robinson takes Farage’s rhetoric to its inevitable conclusion. Rinse and repeat.
